About Prashant

Development Consultant | Social Entrepreneur | Building TAANDA

Prashant Chavhan is a purpose-driven development professional with over eight years of experience at the intersection of social entrepreneurship, policy consulting, and community transformation. He has led initiatives that empower first-generation learners, strengthen grassroots organizations, and bridge the gap between academic institutions, government programs, and marginalized communities.

As the Co-founder of Eklavya India Foundation, Prashant has mentored hundreds of students from underrepresented backgrounds, helping them access quality higher education and leadership opportunities. His work spans fundraising, strategic partnerships, research, and large-scale social program design, with a deep commitment to social justice and Ambedkarite values.

Currently, he is building organization TAANDA — a collective movement that stands for Transformation through Advocacy, Agency, Network, and Development Action. Inspired by the resilience of nomadic tribes and their spirit of collective journey, TAANDA symbolizes a modern caravan of changemakers driving social transformation through collaboration and shared purpose.

A graduate of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Prashant believes that change begins when access meets aspiration. His work continues to focus on enabling young people from marginalized communities to rise as leaders, thinkers, and social innovators shaping a more inclusive India.
