Varna Sri Raman

Over two decades of watching discrimination in the real world and wanting to do something about it have brought me here.
I am a development economist (PhD, TISS) and a former Dr. Manmohan Singh Fellow with AIPC. I have worked in social research, monitoring and evaluation, and development education, including with Oxfam and BBC Media Action, and I co-founded ImpactMojo, a free development learning platform. I am a savarna woman and an Ambedkarite, and I see my role as supporting Dalit voices and not speaking for them. Bring me a research question, a PhD or fellowship application, a CV, or a choice between academia, a think tank and the social sector. I will read what you bring and tell you plainly what I think. I speak English, Hindi, Tamil and Bengali. If you are in Delhi I am happy to meet too!
